I’ve always had problem skin. ALWAYS. It’s annoying. I have extremely oily, acne prone skin. I have tried many (many) skin care brands and I am a big fan of Dr. Perricone and his products. When he introduced his makeup line, I had to try it. Yes, had to.
I picked this up at Sephora using one of the gift cards I got for my birthday. It cost $85, ($115 value) and includes the following:
– 1 oz Face Finishing Moisturizer
– 0.3 oz No Foundation Foundation Serum
– 0.17 oz No Blush Blush
– 0.014 oz No Mascara Mascara
– 0.15 oz No Lipstick Lipstick
Moisturizer: Love it. Always have and always will. This has been my go to moisturizer for years and years. One warning though – if you are sensitive to certain scents, you might find some of his products offensive. Some of them (not all) do have a slightly fishy scent. I’ve never been bothered by it, but one of my friends brought this to my attention so I thought I would point it out.
No Foundation Foundation: I like this a lot. It doesn’t provide full coverage like a typical foundation but does help in evening out the skin tone. If you’re looking for a lightweight product, I would definitely consider trying this. It helps with oil control and gives my skin a healthy glow. They sell it on it’s own, so you don’t have to buy the whole kit. The shade that comes in the kit is No. 2 light to medium, and it matches my skin tone perfectly.
No Blush Blush: If you like pink, then this is for you. Having such a greasy face, I’m not a huge fan of creamy/liquid blushes because they just make me look shiny. If you have dry skin, I think this would look really nice and add a dewy glow. I can still use it, and it looks pretty, but I prefer powder blushes. 🙂
No Mascara Mascara: I was pleasantly surprised. This is SUCH a good mascara! It makes your lashes full, plump and beautiful! I haver VERY sensitive eyes (oh hello, corneal ulcers – yeah – no fun) and this doesn’t make them sting or burn whatsoever. LOVE!
No Lipstick Lipstick: Eh. I was recently given a tinted Burt’s Bees lip balm, and this reminds me of that. It’s nice. It’s pretty. Nothing spectacular. It does give a shine to the lips and is moisturizing, but didn’t wow me.
This is the best picture I could get while wearing all of the products. It’s my attempt at being artsy. Yeah, I have no idea why my neck looks like that. Don’t judge. Anyway, I think all of the products are great if you’re going for a super natural look. It definitely gives you the whole “your face, but better” feeling, which I can definitely appreciate. If you’re into natural looking makeup, this might just be for you. Keep in mind. . .I love fake eyelashes and have fake hair. Really, what do I know? 🙂
Hope everyone is having a fabulous week! We made it to the weekend! (Almost!)
