Happy Tuesday! I had to write about 2 products that are current staples in my makeup routine. One is an eyeliner and the other is. . .men’s aftershave. Wait. What?
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a 1000 times – I have the greasiest face on the planet. So. Gross. I was perusing Nikki Tutorial’s blog, and saw that she uses this as a foundation primer. I actually love using men’s products (my fave is men’s deodorant – don’t ask), and for $7.99, it was worth a shot. AHHHH! This stuff is so so amazing. It makes your makeup last all day and looks flawless! It has a faint man smell, but it doesn’t last long and is not overpowering. It has bit of a watery consistency, and hasn’t made me break out. Remember: There are no rules with makeup/beauty. If it works for you, and you like it – DO it. Who cares if it says it’s for men? If you’re looking for a new primer, it’s worth a try.
As a general rule, I hate liquid eyeliner. It’s wet, goopy and just a mess. Also, because of the shape of my eyes (hooded) if I blink while I’m applying, it inevitably ends up transferring to the upper part of my eyelid. Not cute. Howevvvvver, after reading countless reviews and raves, I gave in and decided to try this. I mean, EVERYONE couldn’t be wrong, right? The verdict: This stuff is awesome. The tip is not too hard or soft (am I the only one who gets uncomfortable talking about the hardness of eyeliner tips? Just me? Okay, moving on. . .) and makes for the perfect winged liner application. The formula dries quickly and does not budge, smudge or transfer.
Yes, I realize this is not the most flattering angle, (or picture) but I had just exercised for the first time in a long time. I survived. Barely. My eyeliner was still perfectly in place. And yes, I was super sweaty. LOVE it.
Just for fun, I had to throw in a cat picture. This is what it looks like when I sit on the couch and work on my laptop. He just doesn’t get the meaning of personal space.
