Liquid lipsticks are all the rage. I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love how they look – but hate that they can be so drying and suck the life out of your face. Not cute. I have tried many different brands and formulas. Of all the ones I’ve tried, 2 brands really stand out.
I love love these liquid lipsticks. The formula is AH-MA-ZING. They are pigmented, long lasting and do not dry your lips out at all. Best. Thing. Ever. Done and done. Colors shown: Masochist and Dirty Money. Yep. Green liquid lipstick. I know – not for everyone, but I LOVE it.
The Matte Liquid Lipsticks by Dose of Colors are also really great. They are a bit more drying than the Jeffree Star ones, but as long as you moisturize your lips, you’re good to go. They have a lot of amazing colors, but my favorite is Desert Suede. Taupe lipstick sounds sorta weird, but it’s so pretty on. Every time I’ve worn it, I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. Brown/grey lips for the win.
Liquid lipsticks can be a pain in the butt to remove, so I’ve been on the hunt for a good oil based cleanser/remover. I recently received a $25 gift card from The Body Shop as part of a settlement in a class action lawsuit. My sister always says I’m lucky because over the years, I’ve gotten quite a few gift cards and checks from various class action lawsuits. Gotta love lawyers. 😉 Shopping time! WOO!
I’ve heard really good thing about the Chamomile Silky Cleansing Oil from the Body Shop. Since it was essentially free, I HAD to try it! If you wear a lot of makeup (especially foundation) you really should use an oil or remover to take off your makeup in addition to washing your face. I love this. It removes all of your makeup, and doesn’t leave your face feeling greasy or with an oily residue. I have extremely oily/acne prone skin so I’ve always been nervous about putting oil on my face. BUT, I think using this has actually caused my skin to produce LESS oil. Crazy, right? I’ve heard some people have issues with leaky packaging, but so far it hasn’t been an issue. (Fingers crossed!) So. Good.
What have you been loving lately?
Happy Monday! xo
